**Boots for Tula premiered at the Seattle Gay and Lesbian Film Festival on October 23, 2010.
Ash always thought that when she escaped her stifling hometown with her partner-in-crime and object of desire, Jane, that life would finally get good. Instead, Jane reinvents herself as a stripper named Tula, leaving Ash to roam the city streets on her skateboard alone. As Tula flirts with the boys who infest their crash pad, Ash uses her fake ID to cruise the queer bars. While Tula indulges in her enjoyable vices and dreams of glittery gold boots, Ash dreams of getting Tula back and schemes to get the boots for her.
Boots for Tula is a story of first love,
entangled lives, queer desire, and electrical current.
